Fiat Stilo. Good size and utility, decent ride, extremely unstable at speeds above 60, absolutely no torque, but 40 mpg.
No A/C (like you'd need it!) and extremely long shifter. Great gauge package and ergonomics, though the seats are very firm and uncomforable for long journeys.
At $4.50 per gallon, imagine how much it costs this chap to run a Trans Am in Liverpool.
You cannot escape rice.
